Suspected Jewish Vandals Spray ‘Blood Will Spill’ Message for John Kerry Before Visit to Israel

Hey, if it belongs to John Kerry…What difference does it make?

Suspected Jewish vandals set three vehicles on fire and sprayed threatening graffiti directed at Secretary of State John Kerry ahead of his expected visit to Israel, authorities said.

The incident in a West Bank village is expected to lead to tighter security for Kerry when he arrives in Israel Thursday, hoping to broker an agreement between the Palestinians and Israeli government, the Associated Press reported.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told reporters Tuesday the vandals sprayed Hebrew graffiti on a building wall that read, “Blood will spill in Judea and Samaria” — the Israeli term for the West Bank — and “Regards to Kerry.”

Rosenfeld says the vandals then fled the Palestinian village of Jilazoun. Police are still investigating the incident.

The Obama administration’s peace talks with Iran and policies toward the West Bank have drawn ire from many Israeli politicians and citizens who see the U.S. as placating to enemies of the Jewish state.

Kerry’s remarks in November blasting Israel’s policies in the West Bank were met with anger by some Israeli leaders when he said the policies of rebuilding would lead to a “third Intifada.”

“Israel says, ‘Oh we feel safe today, we have the wall. We’re not in a day to day conflict’,” Kerry said. “I’ve got news for you. Today’s status quo will not be tomorrow’s…” Israel’s neighbors, he warned, will “begin to push in a different way.”

The vandals’ actions came just as Israeli officials released more than two dozen Palestinian prisoners convicted in deadly attacks against Israelis. It was part of a U.S.-sponsored deal to restart Mideast peace talks, the Associated Press reported.

The State Department did not immediately return a request for comment from TheBlaze.

This Is Not the Mugshot You’d Expect From a Mom Accused of Sexually Abusing Her Three Young Children

Laugh it up bitch!

Police arrested an Oklahoma mother accused of sexually abusing her three young children on multiple occasions over the span of three months. The woman is seen smiling from ear-to-ear in an eerie mugshot released by authorities.

Natalie Lynn Webb, 30, is accused of “sexual abuse and exploitation” of her children after her 9-year-old son reportedly told authorities that his 8-year-old brother and his two 3-year-old sisters had all been molested.

“He said she [Webb] was selling sex from them. He said he would run and hide in the dumpster,” the affidavit states.

The 9-year-old boy also told investigators that he once walked in on the abuse on accident, KFOR-TV reported.

The police report indicates drug use may have been involved. The boy reportedly told police that “the needles” would make his mother act “different.”

“He thinks that because she would act weird and her breath would smell funny and her arm would have little dots where it was bleeding,” the report said.

All of Webb’s children are now in protective custody.

The mother faces charges of sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old and child neglect. She is reportedly being held on a $2 million bond.

A Woman With the Name ‘Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele’ Just Scored a Big Win in Hawaii

Goodness…

HONOLULU (AP) — A Hawaii woman whose last name is 36 characters long has finally gotten the whole thing to fit on her driver’s license and state identification card.

Janice “Lokelani” Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele (KAY’-ee-hah-nah-EE’-coo-COW’-ah-KAH’-hee-HOO’-lee-heh-eh-KAH’-how-NAH-eh-leh) has a surname that consists of 35 letters plus an okina, a mark used in the Hawaiian alphabet. She received her new license and ID after her campaign to get her full name on the cards prompted the state Department of Transportation to change its policy to expand the number of characters that can appear.

Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele, 54, said Monday that she’s happy she was able to help fix the problem of identification cards lacking sufficient space for long names.

“Now, in the state of Hawaii, we are no longer second class citizens because of the length of our name,” she said.

Hawaii driver’s licenses and ID cards previously had room for names totaling up to 35 characters. The new policy allows 40 characters for last names, 40 for first names and 35 for middle names.

Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele got the name when she married her Hawaiian husband in 1992.

He used only the one name, which his grandfather gave him after it came to him in a dream.

Under the old policy, Hawaii County issued Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele her driver’s license and state ID with the last letter of her name chopped off. And it omitted her first name.

She told news media about the issue earlier this year after a policeman gave her a hard time about her driver’s license during a traffic stop.

Last month, the state Department of Transportation announced it expanded the character limits.

Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele is now hoping to get the Social Security Administration to allow more characters on its identification cards.

The agency’s cards have two lines for names. The first line has 26 spaces for first and middle names while the second line has 26 spaces for a last name and suffix.

‘I’m Not Christian’: Pop Star Katy Perry Rejects Her Childhood Faith — and Shares Her Current Views on Theology

And the stupid continues…. Watch her career tank. Stupid twit.

Pop singer Katy Perry opened up about her views on God and theology in a recent interview with Marie Claire, telling the magazine that she’s no longer Christian and that she doesn’t believe in heaven, hell or “an old man sitting on a throne.”

Perry did tell the outlet, though, that she believes in a higher power — a paradigm that holds her accountable.

“Accountability is rare to find, especially with people like myself, because nobody wants to tell you something you don’t want to hear,” the singer said. “I actually don’t trust people who start to turn on me because they get scared of telling me the truth.”

Perry also rejected traditional theological labels, but said that, though she has left her evangelical faith behind, she still feels close to the Lord.

“I’m not Buddhist, I’m not Hindu, I’m not Christian, but I still feel like I have a deep connection with God,” she said. “I pray all the time — for self-control, for humility. There’s a lot of gratitude in it. Just saying ‘thank you’ sometimes is better than asking for things.”

Marie Claire reported that Perry gets her connection to spirituality through the writings of Eckhart Tolle, an author known for his popular books about metaphysics and spirituality. She also practices Transcendental Meditation, a form of mantra meditation.

The daughter of Keith and Mary Hudson, evangelists who still travel around the nation speaking openly about their faith, Perry told Rolling Stone magazine in 2010 that God “is very much still a part of” her life.

The magazine wrote at the time it was “surprising” to hear Perry talk about God the way she does, “because one would think her religious past is behind her, but she says she still considers herself a Christian.”

As TheBlaze previously reported, these labels eventually changed. In 2011, Perry described herself as a “drifter,” saying she’s continuously asking questions and “soaking everything up.” She has also said she’s “open to possibility,” and that her strict upbringing as confined her in a bubble of sorts that she has since broken out of.

Like many 20-somethings, Perry seems to be on a journey. Her career has at times seemed counter-evangelical (her parents once worried that it would negatively impact their Christian ministry) and the topics she sings about can be on the risque side.

While she says she’s not a Christian any longer, it’s clear Perry is still very much on a spiritual journey.

Will 2014 Be the Year Americans Finally Say Enough Is Enough?

On The Glenn Beck Program Monday, TheBlaze’s national security editor Buck Sexton took “a look back” at 2013, and considered what 2014 will hold for the American people.

“Will 2014 be the year the pendulum finally swings back away from progressives?” the guest host asked. “Can conservatives finally re-take the high ground?”

Sexton said the long list of scandals and debacles plaguing the Obama administration should pose an opportunity for those on the right to present a path to more individual liberty.

“How many more big government failures and scandals does one need before (people) realize, it ain’t working!” Sexton said. “I bet you’ve forgotten more Obama scandals and debacles than most administrations ever have.”

Buck Sexton on What 2014 Holds for the American People

Sexton proceeded to reference the IRS targeting of conservative groups, NSA “spying,” the rollout of Obamacare, quantitative easing, millions wasted on green investments, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and more.

As the former CIA officer described it, if we can’t “restore some semblance of liberty,” we “deserve our fate.”

Sexton added that the Obama administration isn’t the only political adversary facing conservatives. There is also increasing tension within the Republican Party itself.

“2014 is going to be a fight,” Sexton said simply, describing how voters will have to choose between the “moderate establishment candidate” and the “candidate who stands on Tea Party conservative principles.”

“Is 2014 the year people drop their allegiance to party?” Sexton asked. “Is this the year even those on the left realize that government has grown to dangerous and unprecedented levels of control? Is this the year people say enough is enough?”

“I sure hope so,” he concluded. “Because there’s only so much big government progressivism this country can withstand, and we are teetering close to the edge.”

Watch the 2009 Video That Has Phil Robertson Under Fire Yet Again

To the assholes on the left, I say to you; When you start hollering about the prophet Mohammed marrying and bedding little bitty girls, then you can open your mouth about something else. Shut up already. You will never win against a Godly man!

Left-leaning bloggers have unearthed a 2009 video of embattled “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson that they claim features him advising grown men to marry underage girls. We will lay out exactly what he said, along with the short video that is circulating, and let you decide for yourself if that’s what he is advocating or if there is more to his comments.

Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson Under Fire Over 2009 Video on Marriage at 15 or 16

This undated image released by A&E shows Phil Robertson from the popular series “Duck Dynasty.” Robertson was suspended for disparaging comments he made to GQ magazine about gay people but was reinstated by the network on Friday, Dec. 27. In a statement Friday, A&E said it decided to bring Robertson back to the reality series after discussions with the Robertson family and “numerous advocacy groups.” (AP Photo/A&E,)

During a Sportsmen’s Ministry retreat in Georgia back in 2009, Robertson starts by recalling a conversation he had with a young man who was dating a girl — but the two weren’t married. He says he provided the boy with some advice.

“Make sure that she can cook a meal. You need to eat some meals she cooks,” he said. “Make sure she carries her Bible — that will save you a lot of trouble down the road. And if she picks your ducks, now that’s a woman.”

He continued: “They got to where they’re getting hard to find. Mainly because these boys are waiting until they get to be about 20-years-old before they marry them. Look, you wait unit they get to be 20-years-old, the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You gotta marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16 and they’ll pick your ducks.”

“You need to check with mom and dad about that of course,” Robertson advised. “The reason you Georgia boys can deer hunt, duck hunt, squirrel hunt, hog hunt, that’s the reason you can do it, what I’m holding in my hand right there. That’d be a Bible.”

While Robertson’s critics argue he was advising grown men to marry teenagers, others will say he was simply advising boys and girls to get married young. He married his own wife, Kay, when she was 16 and he was 20.

Further, he specifically references “these boys,” possibly indicating he was speaking directly to boys in the audience. The difference between the two statements is quite significant, though many media outlets reporting on the video don’t appear to be in a rush to confirm the context of the comments.

Those who watch “Duck Dynasty” also likely understand that there is often a dose of exaggerated humor in statements made by Robertson. But no one really knows for sure exactly what he meant, except for Robertson himself.

Because of the scrutiny already on Robertson, it’s likely he will address the remarks at some point and clarify them. Until then, speculation will run wild. Take our poll and let us know what you think:

Enough Said

Big Socialism Lands $15 An Hour Minimum Wage in Seatac,Washington

Big Labor wins court battle in Washington State, and now employers in  SeaTac, Washington wil have to pay transportation and  hotel workers $15 an hour.

The minimum wage was  $9.32, but with the new ruling, employers will look to cut jobs, and some are even saying that they will close up shop, because they won't be able to pay the 60 percent increase in worker pay.

Backers of the $15 minimum wage vow to appeal the ruling up the state Supreme Court. One of the biggest supporters is Kshama Sawant, a socialist who also won her election to the Seattle City Council. She plans on making Seattle the next city to have a $15 minimum wage.

"There may be a few jobs lost here and there, but the fact is, if we don't fight for this, then the race to the bottom will continue," Sawant said.

Sawant is skeptical that the higher minimum wage will lead to mass layoffs. But the American Car Rental Association estimates 5 percent of low-wage jobs will be cut; and another 5-10 percent of those workers will be replaced by more experienced workers.

The owner of Dollar Rental Cars told Fox News she'll outsource some functions, change schedules and cut some staff in response to the new policy.

Big Socialism wins today, but who loses tomorrow?

Dem: I can't afford hookers if they unionize

(BIZPACREVIEW) — The latest allegations against a New York state assemblyman could find ladies of the evening joining alongside a growing number of Democratic officials calling for his resignation.

Just days after three women filed a similar claim, a fourth woman said she was sexually harassed by Democratic state Assemblyman Dennis Gabryszak.

Caitrin Kennedy filed the complaint, which included a statement that Gabryszak said “if workers in the sex trade were to unionize, he would no longer be able to afford their services.”

Japan radiation poisoning America?

Some tuna caught off California is showing evidence of radiation poisoning. (RT photo)

Like a slow-motion train wreck, the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster is still causing damage long after the world’s media has left the news story behind.

On March 11, 2011, the most powerful earthquake ever to hit Japan triggered a tsunami with waves that reached as high as 144 feet. These waves swamped the Fukushima nuclear power-plant complex, causing a resulting shutdown leading to the world’s worst nuclear incident since the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.

The accident has been rated a level 7, on a scale of 1 to 7, on the International Nuclear Event Scale.

As a result of this disaster, the complex’s coolant pumps failed to operate and the power plant reactors overheated, leading to a release of radionuclides directly into the ocean exceeding that from any previous accident.

Water is currently being pumped into the reactors in an attempt to keep them cool and prevent further explosions, but handling the water is becoming a problem.

The contaminated cooling water is being released directly into the ocean and is making its way into the ecosphere. Water from the storage tanks has also seeped into the groundwater and from there, into the ocean. Efforts to use a various barriers to prevent contamination have not completely stopped the leakage.

In another effort to stem the radioactive water from reaching the sea, Japan has pledged to spend $470 million to construct an “ice wall” around the reactors to contain the water. Under the Japanese plan, a wall of frozen earth will be constructed around the reactors to prevent the water being used to cool the fuel rods from comingling with the sea.

“The world is closely watching whether we can dismantle the (Fukushima) plant, including the issue of contaminated water,” said Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. “The government is determined to work hard to resolve the issue.”

This is quite a change from previous statements the prime minister has made. In a speech Sept. 7 in front of the International Olympic Committee in Buenos Aires, Abe stated categorically, “Let me assure you the situation (the contaminated groundwater problem) is under control.”

Six days later, Tokyo Electric Power Co., the operator of the plant, disputed the prime minister’s claim at a meeting in Koriyama, Fukushima Prefecture.

“We regard the current situation as not being under control,” said Kazuhiko Yamashita, a senior official at Tepco.

Tokyo was awarded the 2020 Olympic Games following Abe’s speech.

“The quantities of water they are dealing with are absolutely gigantic,” said Mycle Schneider, an independent consultant who has previously advised the French and German governments and has consulted widely for a variety of organizations and countries on nuclear issues. “What is worse is the water leakage everywhere else – not just from the tanks. It is leaking out from the basements, it is leaking out from the cracks all over the place. Nobody can measure that.”

It is clear that the repercussions from this disaster are far from over.

There has been a debate over the size of the Pacific Ocean and the quantity of the contamination. Some say that even though the U.S. is directly across the ocean from the accident, the volume of the water will easily disperse the contaminants.

Others say the particular isotopes from the reactor do not disperse easily and don’t sink to the bottom. They remain in the water column, from top to bottom.

In this last scenario, sea life has a much greater chance of contacting and carrying the suspended radiation. They either breathe it or eat it in others. Scientists are watching carefully for any signs of contamination in the ocean’s biosphere.

According to Maxim Shingarkin, deputy chairman of Russia’s State Duma Committee for Natural Resources, “Currents in the world ocean are so structured that the areas of seafood capture near the U.S. northwest coast are more likely to contain radioactive nuclides than even the Sea of Okhotsk, which is much closer to Japan. These products are the main danger for mankind because they can find their way to people’s tables on a massive scale.”

This is an issue of significant importance to the United States since, according to the National Marine Fisheries Service, the U.S. imported almost 45 million pounds of fish from Japan in 2012.

There is evidence the radioactive water emanating from the plants starting two years ago has made its way into the ocean currents and will soon start to affect the ecosystems in North America as early as the spring of 2014.

Some say it is already here.

Reports are coming in that the North American food supply is already being affected by Fukushima.

Bluefin tuna caught off the San Diego coast is showing evidence of radioactive contamination. This is the first time that a migrating fish has been shown to carry radioactivity 3,000 miles from Fukushima to the U.S. Pacific coast. It is a nutrition source that accounts for approximately 20,000 tons of the world’s food supply each year.

According to the report published by the National Academy of Sciences, “We report unequivocal evidence that Pacific Bluefin tuna, Thunnus orientalis, transported Fukushima-derived radionuclides across the entire North Pacific Ocean.”

“We were frankly kind of startled,” said Nicholas Fisher, one of the researchers reporting the findings online Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“That’s a big ocean. To swim across it and still retain these radionuclides is pretty amazing,” Fisher said.

To rule out the possibility the radiation found in the tuna was carried by ocean currents or dropped into the ocean through rainfall from the atmosphere, the team also analyzed Yellowfin tuna, found in the eastern Pacific, and Bluefin that migrated to Southern California before the nuclear crisis. They found no trace of cesium-134 and only background levels of cesium-137 left over from nuclear weapons testing in the 1960s.

The report went on to say: “The levels of radioactive cesium were 10 times higher than the amount measured in tuna off the California coast in previous years. But even so, that’s still far below safe-to-eat limits set by the U.S. and Japanese governments.”

The results were surprising enough to conduct further tests this coming summer with a larger sampling of migratory fish. The tuna that were the subject of the previous study were exposed to radiation from Fukushima for approximately one month. The upcoming study will be looking at fish that have been swimming in radioactive waters for a longer period.

They will also be expanding their study to cover other migratory species including sea turtles, sharks and seabirds.

There have been many other reports of fish and sea-creature populations dying in the Pacific. Also, there have been many discoveries of cesium–137 in high concentrations in seafood caught in the Pacific and sold in North America. There have also been many reports of unexplained deaths among wildlife:

  • There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths due to starvation along the California coastline. The question is: why are they starving? Has the food chain been disrupted?
  • Along the Pacific coast of Canada and the Alaska coastline, the population of sockeye salmon is at a historic low
  • Something is causing fish all along the west coast of Canada to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs
  • Experts have found very high levels of cesium–137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast, affecting the food chain in a process called “biomagnification”

As of now, there has been no direct correlation between these events and Fukushima, but the timing of the events and some contributing factors are giving scientists pause and are giving substance for calls for more studies.

While the evidence may circumstantial at this point, it is enough for countries to take action.

Due to radiation fears, Fukushima Prefecture fishermen have had to dump most of their catch. Two years into the nuclear disaster, South Korea still bans Japanese fish and seafood imports from eight Japanese prefectures. The ban covers an area of Japan that exported 5,000 metric tons of fishery products, or about 13 percent of the 40,000 total tons imported last year to South Korea.

In eastern Japanese ports outside of the prefecture, hundreds of pounds of fresh fish are sent to Onjuku, a small town a few hours away from Tokyo.

Once they arrive, samples of the fish are checked for radiation in a move to restore the world’s confidence in Japan’s food supply in the wake of Fukushima.

Japan’s Marine Ecology Research Institute, or MERI, operates out of Onjuku and is charged with the testing. MERI was established in the mid 1970s to certify that fish supplies remain safe despite wastewater discharge from the nuclear plants. It is now working overtime to assure the world that Japan’s fish are safe to eat.

Even with these assurances, many buyers are not sure just how much to trust the quasi-government laboratories. The U.S. has recently banned agricultural and fishery imports from 14 prefectures in Japan, up from the eight that South Korea banned.

Leung Ka-sing, an associate professor at Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University’s department of applied biology and chemical technology, has stated his country should expand its ban on fish products from the current conditional ban on eight prefectures to all of Japan. This is in response to public fears of contamination from ongoing leaks at the Fukushima nuclear plant. He said the ban would act as a preventive measure and address fears over radiation.

The events in the Pacific Rim do not seem to be isolated incidents. They may not be provocative. The oceans are large, and they contain a massive population of species that get sick from time to time. But they are in numbers that warrant an in-depth discovery and full disclosure.

Radiation is found everywhere in the world, so some radiation in food can be expected. How much is a safe level seems to vary over time. Immediately following the World War II atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, American military construction crews were sent into the cities to clear irradiated rubble, telling the crews that the work was safe.

Only years later did they find out it wasn’t safe, and that serious, permanent injury resulted from working in the area.

Gordon McDonald, Ph.D, executive director of Research for the Koinonia Institute, contributed to this report.

White House Official Responsible for Development of Obamacare Website to Retire

The White House official responsible for developing the error-plagued Obamacare website will retire at the end of the year, administration officials announced Monday.

White House Official Responsible for Development of Obamacare Website Steps Down

Michelle Snyder (image source: C-SPAN)

Michelle Snyder, the “No. 2 official” responsible for the rollout of the health care law, according to The New York Times, is currently the chief operating officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, meaning she is responsible for the agency’s day-to-day activities.

She also oversees the agency’s budget and allocation of personnel, meaning the agency’s tech experts report to her.

Snyder’s exit will mark the second time since the healthcare.gov website first launched on Oct. 1 that a top Obamacare official has decided to part ways with the Obama administration.

Tony Trenkle, the Medicare agency’s former chief information officer, resigned in November.

Snyder will leave the agency “after 41 years of outstanding public service,” said Marilyn B. Tavenner, administrator of the Medicare agency in an email to agency employees.

“While we celebrate her distinguished career, we are also sadly saying farewell to a good friend and a key member of the agency’s leadership team,” Tavenner wrote. “Michelle’s intelligence, experience and formidable work ethic have been indispensable to me and to many of you during her tenure.”

Tim Love, Snyder’s deputy, will assume her duties in meantime, according to the The New York Times.

As of this writing, Snyder’s plans for the future are unknown.

“It’s her personal decision to retire now,” an agency official told the Times.

Snyder had reportedly planned on leaving the agency in 2012, but stayed on at the request of Tavenner.

Unsurprisingly, Snyder’s role in the development of the troubled Obamacare website and the timing of her exit has raised a few eyebrows.

“She had to go. She was responsible for the implementation of Obamacare. She controlled all the resources to get it done. She was in charge of information technology. She controlled personnel and budget,” a former agency official told the Times.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius during a Congressional hearing on Oct. 30 specifically named Snyder as the person responsible for developing the Obamacare website.

Still, it’s worth noting that Sebelius followed up by saying, “Michelle Snyder is not responsible for those debacles. Hold me accountable for the debacle. I’m responsible.”

Which Liberal State Owes the Feds Big on Medicaid Overpayments?

Maryland, one of the nation’s most liberal states, is now indebted to the federal government for $115.3 million in overpaid Medicaid grants.

Maryland Owes Federal Government $115 Million for Medicaid Overpayments

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley speaks at a news conference in Baltimore, Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, to unveil the first of several shipments of fossilized oyster shells that are part of a public-private partnership to help rebuild habitat in oyster sanctuaries on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Over the next nine months, over 100,000 tons of shells will be shipped by train from a Florida quarry to Maryland in a partnership with CSX. (AP Photo/Patrick Semansky) AP Photo/Patrick Semansky

The state increasingly known for its heavy taxing and spending policies, and more recently for having a troubled health care exchange website that almost mirrors the federal problem, obtained more Medicaid money than it spent from fiscal year 2009 through 2011, according report by the by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service Inspector General.

The title of the report is “Maryland Withdrew Excessive Federal Medicaid Funds for Fiscal Years 2009 through 2011.”

TheBlaze called a spokesperson for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene but did not get a response as of this writing. However, the department’s Secretary Joshua Sharfstein responded in a letter to the IG, objecting to the title, but agreeing with the findings of the report.

“The State concurs that $115,331,662 should be refunded,” said a letter from the Maryland’s Health and Mental Hygiene Secretary Joshua Sharfstein. “During the period of time reflected in the audit, several reconciliation errors caused federals funds to be drawn in excess of the federal matched supported by CMS-64 reports. However, these errors did not alter the underlying integrity of the state constitution, nor did they substitute for state funds.”

Chief among those recommendations was “refund $115,331,662 to the federal government,” along with better monitoring on the part of the state to ensure that withdrawals are accurate.

“The state agency obtained Federal Medicaid funds for FYs 2009 through 2011 that were not supported by expenditures,” the IG report says.

Maryland obtained $12.88 billion in grants from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, but spent $12.76 in expenditures, the IG found.

This is one of a series of state audits that the HHS IG will be doing. Under the Medicaid joint federal-state program that provides free health coverage for the poor, states estimate their quarterly Medicaid spending, which generally determines the amount of their grant. If the state underestimates the amount needed in a quarter, it can request more federal dollars. If a states makes receives grants in excess of the estimate – as Maryland did – the IG report says a state is expected to “reduce a future withdraw by the difference.”

Maryland didn’t do that.

It also comes as Maryland – one of the states that decided to establish its own health care marketplace under the Obamacare law – has had numerous problems with the Maryland exchange website for purchasing plans.

Since Gov. Martin O’Malley was first elected in 2006, Maryland has enacted two dozen tax hikes, legalized gay marriage, provided in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants, and has been one of the lowest rated states in job creation. The leanings of the state have even prompted a group of citizens in the more conservative western side of the state to talk about secession and starting a new state.

Though the White House still considers the deadly Benghazi terror attack a “phony” scandal, former Florida Congressman Allen West still has several “disturbing unanswered questions” about what happened in Libya on Sept. 11, 2012. The terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi claimed the lives of four Americans — including a U.S. ambassador.

In an op-ed in the Washington Times on Monday, West writes that the “story of what happened that night when Americans were abandoned in Benghazi to die will not go away.” The former Republican congressman then lays out six unanswered and important questions that remain.

West’s top question is one that Congress and Americans have been trying to figure out for some time: “Why was U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens in Benghazi on 9-11? It should be standard practice that high value targets do not move around in hostile terrorist territory, which Benghazi was on that day.”

Take a look at West’s five remaining unanswered questions below:

• When the message came that the consulate was under attack, why were all immediate resources not allocated? As a former career Soldier who sat on the House Armed Services Committee, I am well aware of security protocols. Why weren’t they followed?

• Where was President Obama the evening of the attack? We were treated to all the White House situation room pictures of the raid on Osama bin Laden — but where are the photos from that night?

• According to the president, he ordered Secretary of Defense Panetta and CJCS General Dempsey to get the Americans in Benghazi the support they needed. If true, then who disobeyed the president’s order, and why did Obama never follow up with Panetta and Dempsey?

• Who came up with the video scapegoat excuse, and why was the U.N. ambassador called out for the Sunday shows and not the person responsible, the secretary of state?

• Ambassador Stevens had met with a Turkish representative in Benghazi, but why were his requests for additional security denied, and by whom?

West also provides his theory on what actually happened that night in Benghazi.

Here is my assessment: Ambassador Chris Stevens was sent into the heart of Islamic terrorist badlands, where the black al-Qaeda flags flew prominently, to negotiate an arms transfer from the Libyan rebels, al-Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood-supported terrorists groups through Turkey and into Syria to support those Islamic terrorist, rebel groups. Something went awry since intelligence chatter had picked up al-Qaeda leader al-Zawahiri calling for retribution attacks after the drone killing of an al-Qaeda leader.

‘Felony Stupid’: Armed Home Invasion Ends After Pair of Suspects Ask Victim for Ridiculous Favor

In an odd turn of events, a pair of home invasion suspects allegedly demanded their victim perform one bizarre act Saturday — tie them up and then identify them to Los Angeles police as victims.

Police say the bizarre scene unfolded after four suspects, armed with a shotgun and three handguns, allegedly entered a resident’s home just before 3 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Times. However, the resident spotted the alleged intruders on a home surveillance system and dialed 911.

When authorities arrived, one suspect was reportedly seen fleeing the scene and quickly nabbed by officers. Another ran and hid, leaving two of the alleged intruders inside the home.

That’s when the pair of suspects allegedly demanded the victim tie them up and also identify them to police as victims of the crime they were actually allegedly committing.

The resident obliged, tied them up, then walked out and told police what happened as the pair of suspects remained helplessly tied up inside.

Police did not immediately enter the residence and eventually the suspects “got tired of waiting” and walked outside, according to authorities.

“That’s what you call felony stupid.”

“They came out, still tied up, thinking that we were going to believe they were victims also,” officer Norma Eisenman said. “That’s what you call felony stupid.”

The fourth was apprehended by officers after being caught hiding in the backyard. No injuries were reported in the bizarre home invasion and all suspects were successfully captured by police.

Organizer: Miley Cyrus Won't Twerk Near Sonia Sotomayor in Times Square

They are both idiots so why bother…both of their brains are constantly “twerking”.

Miley Cyrus will reportedly not get a chance to twerk near Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor when the two ring in the new year together at Times Square in New York City this week.

Sotomayor will be the first Supreme Court Justice to ring in the new year at Times Square, but Tim Tompkins, who heads the group that is organizing the festivities, told the New York Times that viewers should not expect to see Cyrus, who will be performing, twerking next to Sotomayor because the Supreme Court Justice will have a private booth.

The Times Square Alliance made the announcement concerning Sotomayor on Sunday on Facebook:

We’re excited to announce that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will help lower the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball at 11:59 pm on December 31st. A native of the Bronx, Justice Sotomayor was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2009, and was the third woman and first Hispanic to be appointed to the highest court in the United States. She is an inspiration to New Yorkers everywhere, and we can’t wait to have her join us.

Breitbart News Sunday--Schweizer: Conservatives Should Adopt Reagan's 'No Compromise'

This is exactly what we should do. We do not negotiate with terrorists and this government is a terrorist.

Looking ahead to 2014, Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President Peter Schweizer said that the best way for conservatives to defeat the permanent political class and the Republican establishment is to not compromise with or be co-opted by them.

On Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 with Breitbart News Executive Chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon, Schweizer, regarded as the top expert on crony capitalism in the nation, said Republicans and Democrats in Washington, D.C. are like "two vultures fighting over a carcass." He said both parties are fighting over "who's going to pick at the carcass more."

He said the natural tendency of the Republican establishment is to "compromise and give away." Schweizer mentioned that this was also the case during President Ronald Reagan's tenure in office, when much of the Republican establishment that had loathed him, at least since 1976, wanted to "cut a deal with the Soviets."

Reagan did not, and Americans eventually saw the collapse of the "Evil Empire," as Schweizer noted.

Schweizer emphasized that the way to defeat the permanent political class--in particular, the Republican establishment--is to espouse the same "no compromise" approach Reagan espoused toward the Soviet Union.

Looking back on 2013, the Tea Party and conservatives garnered victories on a host of issues--such as gun control and amnesty--because they did not go along with the Republican establishment, whose agenda is often more in line with President Barack Obama's than the conservatives they purportedly represent. Even a Harvard professor conceded that such relentlessness will most likely enable the Tea Party to prevail in the end over a weakened GOP establishment.

Ultimately, Schweizer said, despite establishment groups like the Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove's American Crossroads can spend hundreds of millions of dollars waging war against conservatives, "what elects people is votes not dollars." He said that the Republican establishment can spend "as much money as they want, but those candidates will have to appeal to Americans for votes."

In large swaths of the country, the Republican establishment's message and policy objectives "do not resonate," Schweizer said.

Schweizer said strong conservatives like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) receive the most vitriol because the establishment is legitimately threatened by them.

He also said that if the establishment genuinely thinks someone is a clown--they simply "laugh" at them--rather than waste their energies on them. In contrast, if the permanent political class thinks someone--like Cruz--can be, or is, "highly effective," they get "angry and vicious."

Schweizer asserted that Cruz, especially when it came to the "widespread collusion" that is Obamacare, fought on principle, making it evident that he was not in Washington to "feather the pockets" of the permanent political class.
